Our perception is everything.

Vedic Meditation works by gently guiding our nervous system into a parasympathetic state. In this state restful alertness, our experience updates our reality.

Stress isn’t bad.

Stress isn’t bad—in fact, it’s an evolutionary response designed to help us survive. Stress is triggered by our perception of overwhelm. When we see ourselves as unable to handle a situation, our brain shifts away from higher functions to conserve energy, storing unresolved experiences that manifest as repetitive thoughts—up to 80,000 a day, with 95% being the same.

Life itself isn’t inherently stressful; our perception makes it feel that way. Vedic Meditation works by gently guiding our nervous system into a parasympathetic, “rest and digest” state. In this state, the mind becomes restfully alert, naturally shifting our experience so that we no longer feel overwhelmed—in fact, we begin to realize we are okay.

What is Vedic Meditation?

Vedic Meditation is a simple and natural mantra based technique that is practiced for 20 minutes twice a day.

In this technique, we use a bija mantra, a sound and vibration that guides the mind to de-excite beyond thought, to pure being. It is natural to the mind and allows our body to reset and recharge at the cellular level.

THE NEUROCHEMISTRY

  • Increased Serotonin and Dopamine

Vedic Meditation boosts serotonin, the "feel-good" neurotransmitter, and dopamine, which is linked to pleasure and reward. This promotes improved mood, satisfaction, and motivation.

  • Decreased Cortisol

Meditation significantly lowers cortisol levels, the hormone responsible for stress, helping to reduce its negative impact on the body.

  • Balanced Brainwaves

Vedic Meditation increases alpha and delta brainwave activity. Alpha waves are associated with a relaxed, alert state, while delta waves are linked to deep rest and healing. This combination helps reduce anxiety and fosters a deep sense of calm and rejuvenation.

  • Release of Oxytocin + GABA

The practice also promotes the release of oxytocin (the "love hormone") and GABA, a neurotransmitter that calms the nervous system. These neurochemicals counteract stored stress chemistry, fostering feelings of awareness, calmness, creativity, connectedness, and inner peace.

  • Neural Rewiring

Regular practice reinforces the "rest and fulfillment response" over the "fight or flight" response. This not only improves brain coherence but also supports neural rewiring, helping you break free from cyclical stress patterns and move toward a state of lasting relaxation and clarity.

HOW IT'S DIFFERENT

  • THE SOURCE

Vedic Meditation traces its roots back thousands of years to the ancient Vedas of India. The Vedas are ancient texts in India that are really the heart of the Yoga system. “Veda” means knowledge of the whole truth, the truth that can withstand a view from any angle, the truth that never changes.

This technique was brought to the West by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi to provide a direct experience with our natural state of Being.

  • THE REFRAME

This practice is for everyone. It's a science of meeting the mind where it's at. Just as the heart beats, the mind thinks. Thinking in meditation is not bad. This practice is a very simple and natural process that honors the actual nature of our mind. Contrary to the popular notion that proper meditation involves no thoughts, under this technique thoughts as actually a sign of stress release.

  • THE LET GO

This technique drops us into the deepest rest state possible. Our body's major organs hover at their least excited state, and it feels like our body is asleep yet our mind is restfully alert. This is why, unlike other meditation traditions, we sit with our back fully supported so we can let go fully.

  • THE INVITATION

A distinguishing factor of this technique, is that it is a self-sufficient practice. This 4-day course is designed to empower YOU with a tool to self regulate and expand your consciousness for the rest of your life without relying on an external teacher, app, or class. This is a game changer.
